To reach a port, we must sail—Sail, not tie at anchor—Sail, not drift.
The expression, “smooth sailing” is an old adage commonly used to describe situations that resolves easily. However, the wise words of Franklin Roosevelt’s speaks volumes to me, to not take the easy path but to take the path that leads to deeper understanding of ones’ purpose in life. In my own life I have gone through voyages, treacherous and unforgiving, but in these experiences I have grown to savor every moment in life at its purest. To sail is to achieve a higher purpose in life, to perfect our souls and to be better human being.
How do you feel about your purpose in life? Do you believe it is important to struggle in all aspects of life to perfect our souls? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
