The Light at the End of the Tunnel: A Holistic Approach to Medicine

A Dawning of a New Day !

A Dawning of a New Day !

Today is full of anticipation as we get ready for Becca’s pulmonologist’s appointment, I say this because its been almost two months ago since we switched her diet, Gluten Free/ Little Dairy Diet.Amazing the change has been with her total wellness, no more head or tummy ache and as an added bonus, she has shown a lessen dependence on her rescue inhaler for her asthma . Therefore, we decided to incorporate the essential oils into her daily routine along side of her western medicine. What is more, about a week ago she ran out of her preventative, Singular and she is on her last Symbicort preventative inhaler, therefore depending on her lung function results I’ve decided to have the ‘TALK’ with her doctor about weaning her medications to eventually rid of all her medicine with the exception of her rescue inhaler for emergencies. It is our hope that we can have a more holistic approach, for her whole wellness: body, mind and soul.

Tonight, I will post an update on the doctor visit and her new care plan will be highlighted, until then , Happy Blogging!

  1. I wish you the best of luck. I have gone through the Western vs. Eastern medicine struggle and many doctors with my illness, and I can tell you it wasn’t until I started researching for myself and went to a holistic doctor that I was diagnosed with celiac disease, even though I had classic signs for 20 years! Modern wheat isn’t what it used to be. May you be stubborn and wise as an advocate for your daughter. She is lucky indeed to have a mother who challenges the pharmaceutical status-quo 😉
